Briliant results in World Championship 2010
Vytautas Sviderskis, the pilot of Ballooning Centre / Lithuania took the 7th place in 19th hot air balloon world championship, which took place in Hungary, Debrecen on 2 – 9 October 2010.
Vytautas Sviderskis got 13,535 points and took the seventh place, Rimas Kostiuškevičius got 133,443 points and took the eighth place, and Vytautas Junevičius gathered 11,485 points and took the thirty-fourth place.
All three representatives of Lithuania were among the top third of the standings, with two out of three among the top ten of the world's ballooning.
The gold medal was won by USA pilot John Petrehn (15,431 point), which has long been in second place. Silver medal went to championship leader, representative of USA Nick Donner (14,489 points). Swiss pilot Stefan Zeberly won the Bronze medal (14,341 points).
Results of Lithuanian national team are the best in Eastern and Central European members.
This championship was the world's largest hot air balloon championship in ballooning history, since 116 hot air balloon pilots from five continents and 33 countries took part in it.
The participants of the Championship made a total of 6 flights and 19 tasks.
