International Regatta of Kursiu Lagoon is going to be held on 30 July – 11 August 2007 in Nida just at the Baltic sea. Ballooning Centre is going to take part in the Event as crossing the Lagoon by hot air balloons.

Flight over Lagoon is not very difficult. But for the purpose you need to have a proper wind speed and direction. If wind speed is very high (as it is common at the seaside), it is difficult to launch a balloon. On the other hand, if wind is too slow, you may appear over the water without gas left. South – West wind direction is needed to avoid entering into the Kaliningrad District.

Anyway, flight over Kursiu Lagoon is wonderful – you can see Nemunas, the longest river in Lithuania, on your right, the lagoon on your left and Baltic sea stays behind you.
